About the Artist

Christine Callaghan – Painter

Christine obtained a fine arts degree at the University of Stellenbosch and subsequently worked as a layout designer at Fair Lady magazine and then as a designer at French Connection clothing in Cape Town. She is now married with 3 children and now lives on the farm, Fordyce in the Eastern Cape.

While teaching art at Queenstown Girls’ High School she regularly enters local exhibitions and has informal art workshops on the farm. A steady stream of commissions has resulted in her subject matter ranging from landscapes, interior scenes, still-life, portraits to abstract work in all media.
